I hope you took into account that Ramadan is most likely to start insha'Allah on August 1st. Do you really want to start classes during the last ten days?

I don't think we should delay school just because it is the last 10 days of Ramadan. Half of our students don't actually know what the significance of these days are and I think having school would really help bring Islam into reality. You can talk about Surah Qadr in Quranic Studies, and ask students to write 50 things they want to make Dua for and teach them the appropriate way to make dua during Islamic Studies.

We are pleased to welcome you aboard! The 7th will be a planning day focused more on policies to be published to parents and teachers. However, the teacher training will actually take place on August 13th which is a saturday. This was a discussion item that was placed for discussion last year. The current calendar can be found at this link http://dunssunday.com/page/calendar. Let me know if you have any questions!
